First Annual Holiday Toy Giveaway

Presented by Change for FiveHundred, in partnership with Shields-Reid Community Center.

A free community event for children and teens ages 0–17. Our goal is to serve up to 500 youth through holiday giving, community resources and activities.

What We Need

New unwrapped toys, teen gifts, gift cards, books, sports items, clothing, jackets, toy collection locations, sponsors, food and beverages, event supplies, volunteers, resource organizations, promotion and transportation/logistics support.

Families

Registration helps us plan attendance and age-appropriate inventory. Registration does not guarantee a specific toy, brand, item or monetary value. Gifts are subject to available inventory and event capacity.

Volunteers

Help with setup, check-in, family assistance, toy organization, distribution, the teen station, resources, food, activities or cleanup. Setup begins at 9:00 AM. Volunteers may not promise specific gifts. Youth volunteers require appropriate guardian coordination.

Donate Toys or Goods

New, unwrapped gifts are requested. Let us know the item type, quantity, age range and available date so we can coordinate a drop-off or discuss pickup.

Host a Donation Box

Businesses, offices and community organizations can host public or employee-only collection locations. Tell us your location, collection dates and pickup/drop-off preferences.

Sponsor or Participate

Support toy purchasing, teen gifts, food, supplies, activities, transportation, event logistics or employee volunteering. Community organizations can inquire about outdoor resource tables.

Event Layout

Indoors: Toy and teen gift distribution.
Outdoors: Check-in, resource tables, sponsors, food, activities, sports, photos, music and volunteer coordination.
